Aspiring Health Professionals (AHP)
Our Aspiring Health Professionals (AHP) sub-community connects today’s Mason Science Experience students with the health professions of tomorrow. AHP inspires, guides, and empowers first-year students exploring science-driven careers in healthcare (medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, etc.). In MSC-AHP, you will connect with peers with similar goals, gain insights into the pre-health journey, navigate experiential learning options, and access valuable resources to help you succeed both academically and on your pre-health professional pathway.
Through AHP’s special workshops and events, you’ll develop essential skills and build a strong foundation for your future career. Whether you're aiming for medical school or pursuing another health career pathway, AHP is the perfect place to launch your health professions journey!

SUSTAIN@Mason (Students Uniting for Sustainability Through Action, Innovation, and Networking)
SUSTAIN@Mason (Students Uniting for Sustainability Through Action, Innovation, and Networking) is a sub-community for first-year students in the Mason Science Experience who are passionate about conservation, environmental stewardship, and creating a more sustainable future. This group serves as a hub for like-minded individuals to connect, learn, and take action on pressing sustainability challenges, both on and off campus. Through hands-on projects, guest speakers, and campus initiatives, SUSTAIN@Mason empowers first-year students to become champions for sustainability while fostering community and campus connections.

Celebrating Women Leaders in STEM (WLIS)
CWLIS is a Mason Science Experience sub-community dedicated to informing, empowering, supporting, and celebrating the professional journeys of women in STEM. We offer social events and networking opportunities, professional development workshops, mentoring, and an optional, one credit class in the spring semester. CWLIS programming is open and welcoming to all first-year students.
Events and activities supported by CWLIS have included:
- Finding your fit: moving past imposter syndrome
- Mentoring series: Finding a mentor, being a good mentee, tips for mentoring
- Knowing your worth: How to best advocate for yourself
- Tools for wellness and success during stressful times
- Semester Socials: Hot Chocolate and Cookies, Pizza Parties, Field Day, Game Nights and Bagel Breakfasts
