Essential Housing Guidelines and Support Services at Mason
1. If you have questions and/or concerns, contact your Community Director. Each residential community also has Resident Advisors, Office Assistants, and professional staff to provide assistance. Desk hours may change during university closures. Should this occur, signage will be placed at the resource desk with staff contact information.
2. Due to FERPA (Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) law, Housing and Residence Life is not able to share housing or billing information with individuals other than the resident. Residents must grant permission via a form in the Housing Portal to allow information to shared with parents, family members, or other individuals. Information about the university's FERPA policy can be found here.
3. At Mason, we provide our students with a number of important services and amenities designed to help them feel safe and make the transition to living on campus easier. If you need additional help, please contact us via email at housing@gmu.edu. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call emergency services (911).
